PARISH PASTORAL COUNCIL MEETING MINUTES

St Rose of Lima and St Patrick Mission Parish Council Minutes August 25, 2026 Meeting called to order 7:05 pm Father Leo opened with opening prayer. Pastor’s Report 4 diocesan priests have passed this month. Father has been ordered to attend at meeting in Oakland for priests and administrators at churches targeted for closure. We will be hosting the Deanery meeting September 8th starting at Noon in parish hall. Mass counts will continue to be taken. Continue supporting the parish financially. Celebration of St. Rose was a huge success. Had 125 people in attendance. Father will be away on a retreat Sept 28th to Oct 2nd. Maintenance Sid reported that all the locks on the church and the hall have been replaced. The locks for the church and different for the hall. So, you need two keys to get to both places. Father has a leak near the toilet in his bathroom. Sid will be taking a look to figure out what is going on. Web Page Weekly bulletins and articles continue to be posted on Facebook and our website. The calendar on the website is updated with mass times and funerals. Faith Formation Trudy reported that there will be 2 for Holy Communion this year. Julie has 10 in the Confirmation program so far. Currently, they are not taking any new people, since the program is now a two-year program with the uncertainty of church closing. Father had to turn away someone wanting to be Catholic do to closure situation. Finance Nancy reported that we are over on expense and under on revenue, we are coming about $3000.00 a month short of our budget in collections. Organizations ICF annual Polenta dinner will be on October 4th. On Sept 22nd the ICF will be celebrating its 99th anniversary, 100 next year. Fundraising Night of Enchantment Masquerade Ball will be held on Saturday, Nov 7th from 6 pm until 10 pm. Prizes for best Men’s and Ladies’ attire. Formal/Semi-formal. Purchases No big expenditures to report. CCD Building NA Meetings Contract for NA expired in July. They asked for reconsideration because they don’t believe they can pay $25.00 per meeting. Joe will see how much PG&E and water cost for June and July, as they were the only ones using the building in those months. He will contact them. Outreach Julie and John assisted St. Vencent De Paul group in Rodeo to fill and distribute food. Will be done one a month at the Rodeo Senior Center. Also helped fill up the pantry at John Sweet. Steering Committee Bishop requested all material related to Save the Church be taken down from web site. This has been communicated to webmaster and being worked on.
